Divisions
The Chamber of Commerce encompasses four Divisions. These Divisions, their areas of responsibility, and respective subcommittees are listed below:
Finance/Executive Division:
- Meets monthly with ED to review current financials and resolve procedural items.
- Reviews annual budget and presents to full Board for approval.
- Periodically updates Personnel Manual.
- Periodically reviews ED performance and sets compensation.
- Oversees Bylaws review/update.
- Coordinates annual nominations/elections process.
- Oversees periodic financial audits.
- Maintains oversight of condo association.
Economic Development/Governmental Affairs Division:
- Initiates strategies that encourage economic development.
- Facilitates interface with all levels of government.
- Attends governmental meetings and work sessions.
- Develops/reviews/updates support materials.
- Periodically assesses local infrastructure.
- Disseminates information to Chamber Board/membership.
Subcommittees: Business Collateral Development
Membership:
- Develops/maintains a quality membership plan.
- Coordinates renewals, drives, and retention
- Annually reviews membership pricing.
- Annually surveys membership.
- Promotes Chamber to public/community.
- Encourages/maintains Ambassador organization.
- Develop educational seminars for membership benefit.
Subcommittees: Ambassadors
Marketing & Promotion:
- Promotes civic beautification projects.
- Promotes beautification efforts.
- Coordinate membership/volunteer participation in tourism
- Plan/coordinate all aspects of Chamber events
- Plan/coordinate Downtown promotional aspects.
